Ailsa’s challenge this week on Where’s my backpack http://wheresmybackpack.com/2012/07/13/food/ is Food. I don’t appear to have too many images of food in my files probably because I spend more time consuming it than I do taking pictures of it!
The shots that I do have, seem to be taken mostly for the element of color and were mainly captured at farmer’s markets around the Chicago area. Almost every town and village has it’s own farmers market and I love to walk around the stalls, checking out the baked goods and admiring the flowers. What a wonderful sight, all those fresh fruits and vegetables, not to mention the glistening jars of honey and jam and thirst- quenching lemonade!

Ahh, you can’t beat a good farmers’ market, I love going to them myself – that photo of the lemonade stand screams summer, the colours are just so cheery! 🙂
